| 2007 FairCross Rules: Announcements made the day of the event supercedes all printed or previous information. WARNING: Motor vehicle mishaps, in competition events can result in injury or death. Motor vehicles should never be used by minors without parental consent or supervision. Bear Bottom MotoSports Promotions, the hosting Fairgrounds or Sponsors do not test the skills of individual participants or judge rider competence in the FairCross "FX" events. Participants are solely responsible for their safety. Bear Bottom MotoSports Promotions, hosting Fairgrounds or Sponsors do not inspect vehicles, participants are solely responsible for the condition of their vehicles and their competence to operate them. As no formal engineering designs exist for the design or building of FairCross race tracks, participants are solely responsible for their safety at a Bear Bottom MotoSports Promotions FairCross "FX" event and should assess their own ability to negotiate each individual track. Participants who doubt the competence of track officials, have concerns about the safety of the course, or their own ability to negotiate the course or are uncertain about the condition of their vehicle, or doubt the competence of fellow competitors, should not participate and should request the return of their entry fee before practice activity begins. WE ENFORCE A ZERO TOLERANCE TO DRUGS & ALCOHOL ON THE RACE TRACK AND IN THE PIT AREA FOR ALL RIDERS & CREW........ 1) Referee will have final say in all matters. 2) Riders and/or family and pit crew who direct foul or abusive language to a staff member of Bear Bottom MotoSports Promotions are subject to disqualification for the entire event. Each rider is responsible for the action of his/her family and pit crew. 3) Minimum personal protection equipment to race a FairCross "FX" event. a) Snell/Dot approved Helmet b) Long sleeve shirt c) Blue Jeans d) Goggles e) Gloves f) High top leather work boots 4) All minors must have a parent or legal guardian on site or an adult with a notarized permission slip to race. 5) No jumping or passing on a Red Cross flag, maintain your position 6) No jumping or passing on a Yellow flag, maintain your position 7) 1st gear idle to and from race track, NO PIT RIDING you could be disqualified 8) No 2 minute hold at the starting line, have your machine ready to race 9) All "C" classes are for beginner rider or rider with little or no closed course competition experienced 10) Race Track & classes for a FairCross "FX" event are designed for MotoCross bikes and Sport/non Utility Quads. Acceptable MotoCross bike: CRF50F,CR85R, CR80R,CR125R, CR150R CRF250R,CR250R, CRF450R, JR50, RM65, RM80, RM85,RM125, RMZ250, RM250, RMZ450, KX60, KX65, KX100 KX80, KX85, KX125, KX250, KX250F, KX450F, PW50, YZ80, YZ85, YZ125, YZ250, YZ250F, YZ450F KTM50, & LEM50. Please no Enduro, Trail or mini-bikes. 11) No one except riders officially entered may ride or practice on any portion of the racetrack. 12) The machine the rider brings to the starting line for the 1st moto/heat is considered the qualified machine for that day's event. 13) If a riders physical stature is such that he/she cannot reach the ground with both feet, blocks may be used but must be removed immediately after the start. 14) Any rider who jumps the start be is subject to a DOCK LAP 15) Any race stopped with 2 or less laps completed will be re-started. Any race stopped with over 2 laps completed will be started on the track with the Green Flag. 16) The referee may consider a race complete if more then 60% of the laps have been run. 17) Under no circumstances may anyone ride a machine in the wrong direction on the track. For this offense the rider will be disqualified for the days event and fined $500. 18) A rider whose machine becomes disabled before reaching the finish line may push his/her machine un-aided in the direction of the track over the finish to be scored. 19) If a rider stops for any reason during an event, he/she must restart without any outside assistance. If a rider falls on the track during an event a flag person or track staff may help to get the machine off the racetrack. 20) A rider leaving the racecourse must re-enter at the same point they left the racetrack, failure to do so will result in being docked (1) lap. 21) A competitor who rides in a way that endangers officials, other rider or the public will be subject to immediate disqualification from the meet by the referee. 22) The race is officially ended for all contestants when the checker flag is dropped for the winner. 23) Each moto/heat results will be considered official 30 minutes after posting if no rider request a re-check within 30 minutes of the results being posted. Bottom line after 30 minutes moto/heat results are final and will not be changed. 24) Riders racing an "X" class cannot race in a "C" class. Once an "X" rider always an "X" rider. 25) Bear Bottom MotoSports Promotions uses the (2) moto format to determine overall finish positions. 1st moto/heat finish position plus (+) 2nd moto finish position equals (=) overall finish. Lowest number determine winner and so on down the line. 26) At the sole discretion of the referee a class may be scored for overall positions from one (1) moto. 27) Starting line positions will be for the 1st moto/heat by clothespin draw, 2nd moto will be your finish from the 1st moto. Once a rider picks a position he/she cannot change that place on the starting line. 28) The starting board will show 20 seconds, then turned to show 15 second, once the board is turned sideways 2 to 5 second the gate will drop.. 29) Flags on the race track, "what do they mean?": Green: Race is a go Yellow: Caution, slow down maintain your position, rider down White w/red cross: Ambulances or medical personal on track, rider injured. slow down maintain your position Black Flag: If pointed at you please leave the track and see the referee White: (1) lap to go in racing Black & White Checker: Racing is done Red: Stop all racing and stay in that spot till directed by track officials on where to go 30) Number plate for all race machines white backgrounds w/black 8" numbers or letters. Bikes: both rear sides of seat and vertical on front triple clamps. Quad: vertical on rear grab bar and front bumper. If these combinations are not used, Bear Bottom MotoSports will not be responsible for miss scored machines. 31) All Quads must have aftermarket nerf bars and tether type kill switches in working order 32) Quads must have all front & rear light removed or covered by duct tape 33) No outlaw exhaust system are allowed, either stock or quality aftermarket exhausts allowed. 34) No family/pit crew or racer shall be on the track or in front of the starting line while a moto/heat race is on the track in competition. Parents are allowed on the race track during competition for the 50cc bikes & Quad classes only and they may aid the riders in starting their machines, but if the machine becomes disabled, the rider only may push the machine across the finish line to be scored. |
